- The USDA Forest Service; Sitka Ranger District; Fisheries shop is planning on removing 58 dilapidated log stringer bridges and corrugated metal pipes using explosives. These structures are located on two closed roads north of Sitka. For the proper removal of these structures we will need to purchase commercial item explosives. 1) 8500 lbs of ANFO WR 2) 6000? of Det Cord 3) 8000 lbs of Emuline HD 2 ? diameter 4) 10,000? of Non-Electric Lead in Line 5) 2 cases of Shock Star Dual Delay Detonators 17/350 with 24? leads 6) 2 powder punches 7) 2 non-sparking powder knifes 8) 1 galvonometer 9) 2 large blasting zone signs 10) 55 lbs of 7/8 pre-split 11) 55 lbs of 1 ? pre-split 12) 1 Estimated Shipping Please quote to include shipping costs from the distributor to the job location see map on attachment. Shipping and Lead Times should be considered in an effort to transport these items on Alaska Marine Lines. The shipper requires possession of these items 2 days prior to voyage for late May, 2007.
