Description
USAFA COMMUNICATION SUPPORT SERVICES REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 23 September 2006 This is a Request For Information (RFI) only in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e) and is part of market research as required by FAR Part 10. Results from this RFI will be used to aid in acquisition planning for future solicitations. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this RFI is voluntary and the Government will not pay for submitted information. We anticipate the use of NAICS Code 561210 at such time that the requirement is synopsized. The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) is seeking potential sources to provide communiction support services to the USAFA community. We are seeking companies who have the capability and skills to provide the following services: Project Management, Information Management, Electronics Communications Services, Media Services, IT Hardware/Software Accountability Management, and Telephone Management Administration Support Services. A brief description of support required for each of the identified areas is included in the attached Statement of Need (SON). All companies capable of providing the required services are invited to respond to this RFI and provide information addressing the areas identified in the attached SON. Additionally, it is requested that interested parties submit information addressing the specific areas below: 1) A brief description of your company size and business status (i.e. small business, disadvantaged, 8(a), HUB Zone, woman-owned, etc.). 2) A description of similar services offered to the Government or commercial customers. 3) Include reference information for at least three (3) companies that you have provided the same or similar services to within the last three years valued at approximately $2.3M annually. Include company/government office name, dollar value by year, point of contact, mailing address, e-mail address, fax number, and any additional information you think is relevant. 4) Address your ability to mobilize and become proficient with the required services, along with an estimated timeline. 5) Address your ability to adapt to changing requirements by describing specific instances. 6) How does your company ensure that employees are qualified and current with technology and industry standards? 7) How does your company ensure the quality of its services? 8) Are your company?s products/services 508 compliant? Explain? 9) Describe your company?s experience in providing electronic services that include TV, VCR, and electronic equipment repair and maintenance. 10) Describe your company?s experience in providing the following: a. Public address (audio) and presentations (visual) equipment setup, operation, repair and maintenance b. Periodic preventive maintenance on electronic systems c. Electronic records management d. Conducting Air Force records management inspections e. Providing mail room and mail distribution services in a large campus environment f. Air Force publications and forms management areas g. Designing forms using PureEdge Software h. Video teleconferencing services? Explain. i. Air Force?s hardware and software inventory and accountability systems? In addition to the above requested information, contractors may offer comments or recommendations they feel would be beneficial.
