- This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6 Streamlined Procedurs for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items. This announcement constitutes the Request for Proposals. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has a requirement for a Contractor to furnish Comprehensive Furniture Management Services (CFMS). Specifically, the contractor shall provide the SEC with CFMS in support of two projects: Project No.1 - Standing up the new child development center (CDC) and Project No. 2 - Commission-wide program to replace and/or upgrade office furniture. The Contractor shall furnish comprehensive furniture management services (CFMS) in accordance with the terms and conditions of the solicitation. Project No. 1 consists of the following: The Contractor shall provide CFMS for the SEC's new CDC, which is located on the ground floor of the headquarters building, Station Place One, 100 F Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. The SEC requires that the center will be complete and open for business at 8:00 a.m. EST on September 10, 2007. Services shall include the purchase, warehousing, assembly, delivery and installation of the furnishings and equipment. The Contractor shall plan, organize, and coordinate with SEC personnel; the SEC's architect, SKB Architecture and Design (SKB); the SEC's general Contractor, Turner Construction; and other SEC construction subContractors concerning all aspects of furnishing the CDC. The Contractor shall ensure proper and safe placement of furniture, office material and specialized area contents, and equipment such as office and classroom furniture, equipment, toys, laundry and kitchen appliances, strollers/buggies, etc. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, supplies, warehouse space, tools, and equipment necessary to perform the CFMS services required under this contract in an orderly, safe, and efficient manner. Project No. 2 - Commission-wide program to replace and/or upgrade office furniture consists of the following: The Contractor shall provide CFMS for the replacement and/or upgrade of office furniture and office furniture-related items as defined under individual task orders. The specific services shall be the same as those for the CDC, but will focus on office furnishings and equipment. Furniture shall include but is not limited to desks, credenzas, file cabinets, bookcases, chairs, tables, accessories. Equipment shall include but is not limited to fax machines, copiers, scanners, microwave ovens, refrigerators. Proposals are being requested. A copy of the Solicitation with instructions for submitting a Proposal in response to Request for Proposals No. SECHQ1-07-R-0111 may be requested by email. Potential vendors are requested to be registered with the Central Conractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for award.
