Description
The General Services Administration?s Federal Acquisition Service solicits your response to the attached RFQ. We invite you to submit a proposal for satisfying the requirements described in this RFQ. Please submit all required information before the specified closing date and in accordance with the instructions set forth in the RFQ. Vendors are encouraged to review the RFQ carefully and submit any questions and comments via email no later than 4:00PM, Eastern Time, on 03/16/2007 to Rick.Yao@gsa.gov. The responses to questions received will be issued shortly thereafter. Quotes shall be received NLT 03/19/2007, 5:00pm EDT via email by Rick.yao@gsa.gov. In order to be considered for award, offerors must be registered with IT Solution. Award will only be made through IT Solutions. The website is http://it-solutions.gsa.gov. If vendor registration assistance is needed, please contact the help desk at 877.243.2889. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This procurement is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. In the event no acceptable quotes are received by the Government, this procurement will be converted to a full and open market solicitation. The US Navy, Naval Air Warfare Center currently has existing tape libraries that require the replacement of defective tape drives in order to maintain the serviceable life of their entire storage libraries. Based on market research, there are no other brands of tape drive but HP tape drive, part # TZ89N-AV, that are both physically and electronically compatible with the characteristics of the Navy?s existing tape libraries. No other tape drive but HP part number TZ89N-AV will fit in and operate in the Navy?s existing libraries as no other drives are physically equivalent nor can be operated via the embedded minilibrary controller board and associated electronics that runs the tape libraries successfully. Award shall be made based on cost and non cost factors, price and delivery date. Price is more important than delivery date. Delivery: Specify best possible earliest delivery. Offerors are expected to examine this entire RFQ and complete all required attachments. Failure to do so will be considered non responsive and will not be considered for award.
