- THIS IS A MODIFICATION TO THE SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. THE SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD IS CORRECTED FROM $6.5 MILLION TO $23.5 MILLION. THE SIZE STANDARD FOR NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE 488991 (PACKING AND CRATING) IS $23.5 MILLION. ********************************************************************************* THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. THE SUSPENSE DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF CAPABILITIES PACKAGES IS 27 MARCH 2007. Wright-Patterson AFB OH, anticipates a competitive acquisition for Packing, Crating, Local Drayage, Delivery, Storage, and Unpacking of Personal Property Shipments of military members and civilian employees. Area serviced is comprised of 138 counties. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) and the Estimated Quantities are attached for your review. Both documents are draft copies and subject to change. Contractor must be able to demonstrate to our complete satisfaction that they are fully aware of all factors involved in this service contract. The contractor must currently be doing business as a Packing/Crating and Moving Company and must be able to document that: a. Contractor has been engaged in the business as a professional packing/crating moving company for at least 5 years. b. Contractor has successfully managed and maintained packing/crating moving support to the standard noted in the Estimated Quantities (included as an attachment to this announcement) within the last five years (submit names addresses, and phone numbers of references and a point of contact for each); c. Contractor has the necessary equipment, personnel, and financial resources to fulfill the requirements of this contract; d. Contractor has the experience and capability to accomplish the services required in the contract. All sources capable of providing these services are being sought. In addition to the information provided in the Capabilities Package described below, responding parties must also indicate their business size status in relation to the applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 488991/Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code 4783 (size standard $6.5 Million). Sources should identify and address if they are a Large, Small, 8(a), Woman Owned, Hubzone, or otherwise classified as a Small Disadvantaged Business in their responses. CAPABILITIES PACKAGE: PLEASE ADDRESS ALL AREAS. All interested firms should submit a capabilities package that outlines their firm?s capabilities in providing all of the above mentioned services.. Contractors are required to provide all management and labor required for the operation and management of the functions listed. If subcontractors are to be used, provide anticipated percentages of effort to be used. The capabilities packages should be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate the ability to meet the stated requirements. Pervious experience in all areas should be provided. Teaming and/or subcontracting arrangements should be clearly delineated and previous experience in teaming must be provided. The response must not exceed 15 typed pages.
