- The VA Montana Healthcare System, Fort Harrison, Montana has a requirement for a contractor to furnish all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to perform ground maintenance and snow/ice removal for the VA Medical Center and Nursing Home, Miles City, Montana. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-12.    The Request for Proposal is VA-259-07-RP-0059. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 561730 and the small business size standard is considered $6.5M. Contractor will mow and trim all turf areas; edge sidewalks, curbs, and driveways; prune and trim trees; maintain all shrubs and flowerbeds; pull weeds; and remove debris, branches, and weeds every weekday. Contractor will operate, clean, adjust, and/or replace (when necessary) all lawn sprinkler systems and equipment. Contractor will remove snow and/or ice from walks, steps, ramps, decks, roadways, and parking lots. During snow storms, all priority areas must be kept clean of snow between the hours of 6:00am and 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Ice melt and sand will be removed from entrances with improvement of weather. The contract period shall be one year from the date of award with 4 one-year option periods. This procurement is a full and open competition. All interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements. Solicitation documents should be available on or about March 16, 2007. The offeror is responsible for downloading the solicitation and amendments without further notice from the VA, and for monitoring the website for up-to-date information.
