- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Acquisition Center intends to contract on a sole-source basis with McKesson High Volume Solutions (HVS), for the upgrade of three roving head picking frames for VA's Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacies in Charleston, South Carolina and Hines, Illinois. This acquisition is for the upgrade of existing systems previously installed by McKesson HVS, and VA has determined that currently only one responsible source can satisfy the agency requirements. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1). Type of contract is a definite-delivery, definite-quantity contract. NAICS Code 423450 and Small Business Size Standard 500 apply to this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.  Interested parties may identify their interest to respond to this requirement by 2:30 p.m., March 22, 2007. A determination by the Department of Veterans Affairs not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
