Description
SF 330 Applications are invited from Engineering firms to provide professional design services and construction period services for the replacement of American Lake Division's Building 81 primary electrical feed and distribution system. Provide (1) all technical and electrical engineering services required to analyze the primary, secondary, and emergency power distribution systems for Building B81, Ambulatory Building, at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System, American Lake Division, and (2) utilizing the study results design a new electrical distribution and riser panel system for Building 81. The pharmacy area of B 81 meets current electrical circuit distribution standards but will be considered in the power requirements of the building. The scope of work will include the replacement of the distribution panels. Standard power and separate emergency power circuits will be included as well as power provision for all utility and clinical requirements. Provide construction period services following the construction contract award based upon this design work. The A/E contractor must provide bid-ready design documents 210 calendar days after A/E contract award. Evaluation and selection will be based on qualifications stated under CBD Numbered Note 24. The selected firm or organization must have significant experience in the design, and operation of high voltage electrical distributions systems serving large institutional campuses and medical facilities, and demonstrated ability to conduct extensive analysis and study of large complex electrical distribution systems. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the credentials of the firm and assigned staff to support the study scope. Special qualifications and selection of firms will place emphasis on design capabilities of firms with previous of high voltage electrical distributions systems design experience. The cost range for construction is $1 Million - $2 Million. The applicable NAISC code is 541330. This is not a Request for Proposal. Point of Contact is William W. Thompson (253) 589 4027. A current SF 330 representing and differentiating between the personnel, experience and capabilities of all involved offices, must be included with the application for each proposed consultant's office involved.
