- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to conduct negotiations on a sole source basis with The California Cancer Registry, 1700 Tribute Road, Suite 100, Sacramento, CA 95815-4402. The objective of this contract is to explore the feasibility of using industry and occupational data in the California Cancer Registry for the purpose of occupational cancer surveillance. This contract is required to complete a FY 2007 NORA project addressing priorities of the construction sector. These include the Construction Sector Strategic Goal IG8.1 (improve the quality and quantity of injury, illness, and exposure surveillance data for prioritizing construction safety and health research and tracking progress), and also addresses several objectives in the NIOSH Strategic Surveillance Plan, including objective 1.4 (support development of automated Industrial & Occupational coding), and objective 5.2 (support the development of new approaches for occupational disease surveillance). This notice is for informational purposes only. The solicitation documents are not available.
