- Questions and Answers CSMS Auto Surface Grinder Questions: 1) Will End user unload grinder, do set up, including electrical hook up. 2) Voltage of machine 220 or 440 3/60 electrics? 3) Does End user require training by contractor who is awarded contract? (if so advise number of people & number of days) 4) Is 20inches x 40inches electro Magnetic chuck w/Variable chuck control acceptable? 5) Auto Parallel dresser required? 6) Is Coolant system w/ Mag seperator & Paper filter acceptable? 7) Will machine be used to machine aluminum? 8) What is the 17 inch by 44 inch capacity measuring? 9) What kind of Magnetic Chuck is required (File Pole, Lateral Pole, or Combination Pole)? Answers: 1) Yes we will unload and hook up 2) Voltage 220 3/60 3) Yes training will be required, up to 4 (four) people duration depends on trainer. 4) Yes 20inches x 40inches is acceptable. 5) Yes auto dresser is acceptable. 6) Yes coolant system w/mag and paper filter is acceptable. 7) Mostly will be used for iron and steel, but on occasion yes. 8) 17 inches is the Cross Travel and 44 inches is the Longitudinal Travel 9) Combination Pole Due to short suspense on this solicitation, email responses will be accepted at Christopher.lende@us.army.mil .
