Description
This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst is seeking sources that may be capable of producing an Engineering Drawings and Data Management (EDDM) System. The United States Navy is investigating the feasibility of procuring a System which meets the following requirements: 1) Windows XP Compliant; 2) Web-based: a) No thick client, b) NMCI (Navy/Marine Corps Intranet) compliant, c) HTTPS accessible, d) NAVAIR FAM Approved, e) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificate capable, f) Onsite/Offsite hosting options, and g) Government owned data rights and transition friendly; 3) Electronic data delivery capable; and 4) Data Security for a) Creating accounts, b) Hardware/software, c) Data files, and d) Information assurance capabilities. The system should also have the following functionality requirements: 1) Adhoc workflow - User Admin created workflow; 2) Role definitions; 3) Reporting capabilities; 4) User Admin functions; 5) File Import/Export with file viewing capabilities; 6) Open Architecture; 7) Top down breakdown product data structure - a) Assembly and component structure applied to Engineering Drawings, b) Bill of Material (BOM), c) Engineering drawing/document revision configuration management; 8) Query capabilities; 9) User Object creation ability; 10) User customization potential; 11) Capability to handle three dimensional engineering models and their internal and/or external relationships; and 12) Capability to index data and query upon the indexes. The Government is looking for potential sources for this requirement.
