Description
The U. S. Army Communications Electronics-Life Cycle Management Command- Acquisition Center - Washington is conducting a market survey to identify contractors with the interest/capability to provide the following: The Government currently has an iDi rect 5IF hub in operation on the Hispasat 1D satellite that must be migrated to a new location. The Government is looking for sources that can provide a short term lease of a Ku Band satellite terminal that has an equivalent iDirect hub oriented on the H ispasat 1D satellite and can provide redundant connectivity back to the Government via the Internet . The iDirect Hub must have iDirect VNO software licensed and available for use. The Government will provide the necessary routers and network equipment to provide an IP Security capability to be used at the vendors site. This is a short term requirement for the period of 1 April 2007 through 30 September 2007 only. The Government will require two separate networks on one network card/interface on the h ub with respective bandwidths of approximately 691.2 KHz and 2600 KHz. Both requirements are in the same frequency range, transmitting at 14.0-14.5 GHz and receiving in the 11.7 - 12.2 GHz range. Total maximum aggregate bandwidth is E1. Any responses ma de to the offering must be made at no cost to the Government. Information submitted in response to this Sources Sought will be considered an exchange of capabilities and ideas.
