Description
This is an amendment of combined synopsis/solicitation to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price type contract for Hotel Accommodations, Conference Space Rental and Hotel Services located in the geographic area: Kansas City, MO. The amendment is for Request for Proposal 777-07-H430 concerning additional geographic areas of consideration and their respective lodging per diem rates. The Period of Performance for this requirement is May 6-11, 2007 (approximately 85 sleeping rooms, and required meeting space). No alternate dates will be considered at this time. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Employee Education System (EES) is sponsoring a training conference on the topic of ?SOARS Training Conferences?. The hotel must accommodate 85 sleeping rooms (based on the timeframe), must provide all requirements specified for conference needs in Parts A, B, C and D below, and must provide lodging rates within the stated Government Per Diem. Additional geographic areas of consideration are as follows ranking in order of importance: Chicago, IL ? 2nd choice; Dallas, TX ? 3rd choice and Las Vegas, NV ? 4th choice. The hotel facility must accommodate an estimated 85 attendees with the following needs: Part A: Hotel Lodging- (1a) 15 sleeping rooms on Sunday, May 6, 2007; 85 sleeping rooms on Monday and Tuesday, May 7-8; and 30 sleeping rooms on Wednesday and Thursday, May 9-10; group checks out on Friday, May 11, 2007. Rooms must be individual/private sleeping rooms with toilet facilities at seasonal government per diem rate for Chicago, IL ($169.00) ? 2nd choice; or Dallas, TX ($100.00) ? 3rd choice or Las Vegas, NV ($100.00). Payments for Part A shall be the sole responsibility of each participant, to include no-show fees. All other needs and conditions for the meeting remain the same as the original solicitation.
