- Description
- This project is for the construction of a roadside parking area at the South end of Cascade Lakes Highway and construction of three (3) portal masonry bases for North and South Portal project to receive eleven (11) interpretive signs. A five-panel base will be constructed at the South Portal location and five-panel and one-panel bases (one each) will be constructed at the North Portal location. The Contractor shall provide necessary fastening devices, such as nuts and bolts, as part of the complete installation of the furnished interpretive sign boards. The Forest Service will provide and deliver all the interpretive sign boards to the Contractor to be installed on the constructed masonry bases Major work items also includes construction of an embankment and the placement and compaction of crushed aggregate and hot bituminous asphalt pavement at the South Portal Site. This project is located on the Deschutes National Forest. A solicitation will be posted to FedBizOpps on or around March 23, 2007 with offers due 30 days later. This solicitation will be competed in accordance with FAR 19.10 Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and open to both Small and Large Businesses.
