- The Defense Energy Support Center (DESC), Aerospace Energy Commodities Business Unit (CBU) is seeking potential sources that have the capability to design and fabricate one (1) portable Molecular Sieve Unit (MSU) for use in the removal of iron and water from Dinitrogen Tetroxide. The MSU will be utilized at the hypergol storage facility at Vandenberg AFB, CA. The MSU shall be designed and built to meet the requirements of the attached DESC document entitled PURCHASE DESCRIPTION Molecular Sieve Unit (MSU), dated 10 DEC 2006. Delivery is FOB Destination. Interested sources should forward (via e-mail) to the Contracting Officer and Contract Specialist answers to the following questions not later than 20 Mar 2007: (1) Have you manufactured an MSU in the past? (2) Can you manufacture an MSU that meets the specification requirements of PURCHASE DESCRIPTION Molecular Sieve Unit (MSU), dated 10 DEC 2006 (Attached)? (3) If you have manufactured an MSU previously, provide timeframe for when product was manufactured. (4) If you have manufactured an MSU previously, what is the production lead time. (5) Was the product manufactured for the Government? (6) What is your business size/category: Large Business, Small Business, Woman Owned, Disadvantaged, HubZone, 8(a), Service Disabled or Veteran Owned (state all that apply).
