- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security, Office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement intends to issue a Full and Open Competition in accordance with 10 U.S.C.2304 (a) (1) The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued following FAR part 15 to contract for Support Services for the National Firearms and Tactical Training Unit (NFTTU). The contractor will be required to provide on-site contractor's support services at the following locations in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Fort Benning, Georgia, Glynco, Georgia, Artesia, New Mexico, El Paso, Texas, Charleston, South Carolina and Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. The contractor will provide day to day operational support to NFTTU which includes: Administrative, Occupational Safety and Health, Logistics and Inventory Management, Material Management, Accounting, Technical Project Support, Computer Support, Course Developer/Instructor Support for Firearms and Defensive Tactical Training, and Instructor Support for Basic Firearms Maintenance Training. The applicable NAICS Codes are 561990, 4931110, 6111430. The period of performance will be 60 months, including the 12 month base period and four twelve (12) month option periods, if exercised. The RFP release date will be on or about December 28, 2006. The solicitation will be online and will be distributed through General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be provided. The FBO site provides downloading instructions. The RFP is entitled Support Services for National Firearms and Tactical Training Unit (NFTTU). All amendments and any questions and answers will be posted and may be downloaded from the referenced web site above. It is anticipated that a single award of a Labor Hour Contract will be made based on the best value to the Government.
