- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego intends to award an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity hybrid type contract with firm fixed and cost plus fixed fee pricing to Webb Research Corporation, 82 Technology Park Drive, East Falmouth Massachusetts 02536-4441. The procurement will be conducted using other than full and open competition pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. The procurement will consist of a one year base ordering period and four one year option ordering periods. This acquisition is for supplies and services to be provided by the Webb Research Corporation. An anticipated 25 Autonomous Underwater Gliding Vehicles (AUGV), 7,072 hours of engineering, technical and administrative services per ordering period, plus an assortment of repair parts are planned within this acquisition. The proposed acquisition for the purchase of spare and repair parts, in addition to engineering services is required to maintain Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego's existing AUGVs. Further more, this action will be used for the delivery of additional Autonomous Underwater Gliding Vehicle (AUGV) systems as necessary to support ongoing research and development efforts that are dependent on the AUGV as a prototype test platform. As the developer, sole proprietor, and distributor of the AUGV, only Webb Research Corporation can provide the necessary parts and services to support these vehicles. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. See numbered notes 22 and 26.
