Description
The Topographic Engineering Center (TEC) has a requirement for the systems integration of the Digital Topographic Support System  Deployable (DTSS-D) and the High Volume Map Production (HVMP) variant systems. The purpose of this Request for Inform ation (RFI) is to determine if there are sources capable of satisfying the governments requirement. No proposals are being requested or accepted under this RFI. Feedback addressing the clarity, feasibility, scope and potential alternative means of meeti ng the governments requirements are sought. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for these requirements is 541512. The business size standard is $23M. Your response should identify your business size (large or sm all) in relation to this NAICS Code. Contractor personnel will require DoD security clearances at least at the SECRET level for key personnel. Handling of material up to SECRET level is required. SECRET Facility Clearance is required. Storage Clearance s of at least the SECRET level are required. Capabilities Package: TEC is assessing the existence of sources and is requesting capability packages from industry on the requirements below. We are seeking for sources with a minimum of the top eight (8) it ems, and are able to address their ability and/or approach with partners to perform 90% of the remaining functions. The top eight (8) items may or may not be the sole responsibility of a prime, but also with the partners. Interested Sources shall possess an in-depth understanding of the requirements listed below. Responses must be limited to no more than 10 pages and must address the following specific areas: 1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the integration of ruggedized, transit cased compute r systems, including both hardware and software installation. 2. Demonstrated ability to procure hardware components from multiple sources and integrate those into a system. 3. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with computer technology to include, but not limited to: networking setup and administration, virtual networking, network security, Storage Area Network (SAN) and RAID technology and high performance plotters and scanners. 4. Experience in the management and control of storage, packaging, s hipping and handling of computer systems. 5. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing technical support (on-site and remote) for a DoD system test program which includes, but is not limited to environmental, electromagnetic interference (EMI), shock, transportation and vibration testing . 6. Ability to provide in-field operational support, both CONUS and OCONUS. 7. Ability to maintain and store classified computer hardware up to the SECRET Level. 8. Have and be able to maintain a SECRET level for key personnel with requisite knowled ge and experience in the above areas. 9. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with new technology advancements in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) technology and related hardware requirements. 10. Knowledge and experience with developing documenta tion (technical manuals and drawing packages) to support the setup and teardown of computer systems. 11. Knowledge and experience with developing and conducting training courses for hardware setup and teardown in the field. 12. Ability to develop a pro duction level drawing package from an existing hardware system baseline. 13. Knowledge and experience in the teardown and refurbishment of computer hardware and the ability to provide recommendations for areas where the upgrade of components is required. Interested Sources are encouraged to submit product literature in response to this RFI. Any submission or such product literature or catalog cut sheets will be treated separate from, and will have no bearing on, any subsequent evaluation or proposals s ubmitted in response to any resulting future formal Request for Proposal (RFP).
