- US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, intends to procure services of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment (except materials and equipment provided in the specifications to be furnished by the Government)and performing all work in strict accordance with the contract specifications and schedules forming parts thereof for repairing and modifying the U.S. Towboat LEITNER, principal dimensions and physical data of which are as follows. Length, overall 50 feet 0 inches; Beam, molded 20 feet 0 inches; Displacement Long Tons (2,240 lbs) 48 long tons; Draft 4.5 feet 0 inches (Approx.); Material of hull and house Aluminum (type 5086). Repairs will consist of, but not be limited to, such items as docking and lay days, aluminum plates and shapes, welding services, exterior painting, tail shaft, shaft bearings, rudders and bearings, struts, generator, marine sanitation device, anodes, and fuel tank sight gauges. The vessel will be made available on or about 2 Apri l 2007 not to exceed 30 calendar days for completion of repairs. A firm-fixed price commercial item contract is considered for this acquisition. This procurement is being issued as a 100% Small Business set-aside in accordance with FAR 52.219-6. The NAICS code is 336611 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employee Liquidated damages will be a part of any job order awarded and may be applied for failure to complete the work within the designated performance period. The solicitation number: W912EP- 07-T-0022 will be issued on or about 14 March 2007 and offers due on or about 29 March 2007.
