- SIR Description: In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS), the Western Pacific Region hereby publicly announces that it intends to solicit a Request for Offer. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238210. The Contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials (except government furnished), services, equipment, insurance, bonds, licenses, permits and fees for the installation of a New Motor Control Center MCC at the Oakland Air Route Traffic Control Center in Oakland, California. Work includes but is not limited to: The work provides for the replacement of the existing MCC-1A, 1B, 1C and 1D with new MCC-A1, B1, C1, and D1 at the Oakland ARTCC. Demolition it will be necessary to remove and/or de-install the existing equipment. Prior to the existing MCC being taken out of service in the process of replacing it, the contractor shall install the TEMP MCC at the location shown on the drawing. The TEMP MCC shall be utilized during the transition work and while a new MCC are being installed. The contractor is responsible to make provisions for removing the existing MCC and getting the new MCC equipment inside the building to the final location. Request for a Solicitation package must identify the solicitation number and must be requested via facsimile (310) 725-6843 or (310) 725-6842. VERBAL OR TELEPHONIC REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED, however, if you have questions contact Brian Edwards at (310) 725-7545. A request for a solicitation package must be received no later than March 23,2007. Any request for a solicitation received after this date, regardless of how transmitted, will not be honored. The FAA will evaluate offers in response to this solicitation and will award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, provides the "Best Value to the FAA. The award criteria will be clearly defined in the solicitation. The solicitation for this project will not be issued until the closing date of this announcement to ensure equal response time. The FAA may make an award without communications or negotiation; however, communications and/or negotiations may be conducted to determine the best value to the FAA. The FAA also reserves the right to cancel, terminate this request for solicitation/RFO at any time before, during or after the closing Date.
