- This synopsis provides notice of the Government's intent to solicit a proposal on a sole source basis with DNE Technologies, 50 Barnes Park North, Wallingford, CT 06492. The contract type is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price commercial type contract. The Contract Line Item Numbers and descriptions are: CLIN 0001 P/N 97681005 MCU2 Chassis w/5 slots for MCU2 Converter Modules, NRZ Mux Modules, or Combo CDI Mux Modules. Includes front panel management interface, which utilizes a DB-9 RS232 compatible device (8 each); CLIN 0002 P/N 97680011 MCU2 Converter Module Universal - NRZ-CDI Fiber, 5 Modules per Chassis (40 each); CLIN 0003 P/N 75011129 MCU2 Cable CDI Pigtail, expands the Converter Module?s unbalanced and balanced CDI Interface (micro-DB9M) to bare ends that can be terminated as desired. Both unbalanced and balanced cabling is impedance matched. 12 foot length (4 each); CLIN 0004 P/N 75011130 MCU2 NRZ Cable expands the Converter Module's NRZ interface (micro-DB25F) to a standard Subminiature DB25F. 12 foot length (4 each); CLIN 0005 P/N 97680013 Module, Power Supply w/Serial Interface, Replacement (1 each); CLIN 0006 P/N 48035024 Connector Panel Assy for use with the MCU2, 5 port (4 each); CLIN 0007 Additional 2 year warranty on MCU2 (8 each); CLIN 0008 Additional 2 year warranty on Converter (40 each); to include shipping if any. This equipment will be used to upgrade existing Technical Control Facilities and must be compatible/interoperable with the 2270 Modem from Canoga Perkins, and the CV-2048, CV-8448, and CV-MU CV-HTU-16 from DNE, and must also be able to convert signals and multiplex in one system. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, DNE Technologies is the only known source capable of satisfying the Government's minimum requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, responsible interested parties may submit a proposal in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all information received by 16 March 2007, 1530 EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
