- THIS IS NOT SOLICITATION. The government is preparing to field a decontaminant packet that will be carried in soldiers pockets that has a limited service life, depending on temperature. At normal storage temperatures (86F), it will last for the five years that is prescribed on the packaging. At higher temperatures the service life decreases. This Request For Information (RFI) solicits information on potential Time Temperature Indicators (TTI) that will measure and track varying temperatures above n ormal storage and will display an indicator when cumulated excessive time/temperature ranges have been exceeded. The temperature measurements are: at 104 degrees F the product remains good for 18 months, at 122 degrees F the product remains good for 2 mo nths, at 140 degrees F the product remains good for 1 months and at 160 degrees F the product remains good for 1 month. A suitable response to this RFI would be to present a TTI capability to meet the above objectives, a schedule for providing the propose d TTI, and a physical/performance specification of the product (functionality, durability, weight, dimensions etc.).
