- Provide A/E Services for project # 438-07-130, Remodel for Inpatient Mental Health. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to: full design and construction period services necessary for demolition and renovation of approximately 3000 square feet of existing space in Building 1 of the Sioux Falls VA Hospital to provide for mental health patient rooms with attached bathrooms, nurse?s station, nurse manager?s office, storage for patient belongings, group room, dining area, exam room, conference room, patient laundry space, public restrooms, and associated ancillary space. Design shall be all-inclusive to produce complete contract documents, which includes: preliminary design, design development, construction documents, and construction period services at the VA Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD. The work shall also include, identification of need, constraints, space planning requirements, functional interrelationships, and preparation of cost estimate. Construction cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement is restricted to firms categorized as Emerging Small Businesses with an average gross receipt limitation for the last three (3) years of $2,250,000 per year. A single firm fixed price award may be made as a result of this announcement subject to availability of funds. Government does not guarantee an award. NAICS 541310. A/E selection criteria will include: 1) professional qualifications of the staff to be assigned to the project and record of working together as a team; 2) experience with these types of projects with VA?s, other Hospitals, other Government agencies or Medical Offices; 3) geographical location of A/E firm; 4) professional capacity of the firm to accomplish proposed work within scheduled time frames; and 5) cost control and estimating effectiveness. Firms desiring consideration shall submit SF 330, including full service disciplines, not later than close of business on 3/28/2007.
