- THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The following information is provided to assist NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic in conducting Market Research of Industry to identify potential small business contractors for: MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING OF OIL WATER SEPERATORS IN SOUTHEAST VIRGINIA UNDER THE COGNIZANCE OF NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND, MID-ATLANTIC The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Midlant, Norfolk, Virginia is hereby soliciting notices of interest from potential 8(a), HUB Zone Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and Small Business sources to furnish all labor, supervision, management, , tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, incidental engineering, and other items necessary to maintain / clean oil water separators (OWS) at Little Creek Amphibious Base, Norfolk VA and Oceana Naval Air Station, Virginia Beach VA. The Proposed contract will be a combination Firm-Fixed Price and Indefinite Quantity type contract with Award Term Options. Award Term Options are options that are based on Contractor performance. Additional information related to this procurement will be available once the specs are posted at the following web site, http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. A source selection contract is anticipated The small business size standard is NAICS classification 562219, Other Non-hazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal (Size Standard $4.0 Million average annual gross receipts for proceeding three fiscal years). This sources sought synopsis will be used for the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, and if the government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in the Federal Business Opportunities. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not adequate response to any solicitation announcement. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing a response to this synopsis. There is no bid package or solicitation. Contract term is for a one-year base period with nine (9) option periods. All interested parties are invited to provide a letter of interest via e-mail in Microsoft Word format to: henry.bijak@navy.mil. The letter should include the following: 1) Name and address of firm. 2) Size, status, program, if applicable (i.e. 8(a), HUB Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned) including type of business and total number of employees. 3) Ownership 4) Year firm was established 5) Name of two principles to contact, including title and telephone number. 6) Brief description of previous experience that relates to this requirement. Include approved NAICS for your firm. Responses received after the deadline or without the required information shall be considered unacceptable and will not be considered. Since this is a sources sought synopsis, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the participants.
