- CONTACT Wayne LaFerrara, Electronics Engineer, 732-532-9231. This is not a solicitation. This is only an estimate and will not bind the contractor or the Government in any way or at any time into a contract with any of the specified terms below. This is a market survey to locate potential sources with the capability to repair/rebuild Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) (NSN: 5960-01-416-0474) originally manufactured by Communications and Power Industries (CPI) Inc. (CAGE Code 0MH33; part number VTX-6389G3). Thi s will be an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with quantities of 24 48 TWTs per year. The contractor shall be required to establish a facility including tools, test equipment, repair parts, personnel, etc., required to meet the repair/rebuild requirements of the contract. The contractor shall perform the inspection, test, fault isolation, complete rebuild, including replacement of the entire vacuum envelope. First Article Testing (FAT) will be required on four TWTs which hav e been inspected and not found deficient. This requirement is waived for suppliers who have delivered this item via previous contracts with the government.
