- Benet Laboratories at Watervliet Arsenal, which is part of the Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) headquartered at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, has a requirement 100% set-a-side for small business concerns. The requirement is for engineering support to supplement their in-house Research and Development Staff. Benet Laboratories government engineers and scientists will task the contractor using an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract to investigate and study certain areas of cannon, mortars, recoilless rifles, tank gun mounts, munitions handing and tank turret technology. Tasks will involve abstract or concept studies, analysis and investigations on large caliber munitions systems. These tasks shall encompass computer modeling & simulations, finite element analysis, data analysis, risk analysis, survey, design tradeoffs, analytical evaluations of effectiveness, and performance in adverse military environments as well as application for advance and beyond state of the art concepts. Be advised that this is not a request for the submission of offers or proposals; no contract award will be made as a result of this notice. Interested parties are highly encouraged to provide a description of capabilities statement. Responses shall include information relative to knowledge/abilities to provide the technical support sought, and provide a point of contact for questions.
