Description
Answers to questions asked by prospective contractors. Question 1. In the description of the applications training, the training schedule calls for 2 class sections for each of the three subject areas ? with each class covering about a week. But, the description also specifies that ?No more than six training sessions are anticipated for each subject covered and the ideal number is five.? What do you consider a training session? Answer 1. A training session is considered a class (1 day). Question 2. Is the Internet access in the training facility a wireless environment? Answer 2. The training facility internet access is wired. Wireless is not allowed at the training site. Question 3. Will the government be paying up front or at the conclusion of the classes? Answer 3. The Government will pay after the training is completed and after receipt of a proper invoice at the Government paying office identified on the purchase order. Question 4. Will the contracting officers work with the contractor on scheduling dates? Answer 4. Yes Question 5a. Oracle9i/10g SQL for Data & Business Analysts and Oracle 9i/10g SQL and SQL*Plus (a 1 week class format is needed to cover the following) Does this specify two one week classes - One for Data and Business Analysts, and one for Programmers? Or is it a single one week class which will cover all topic areas listed? Question 5b. In your solicitation you have been very specific about topics to be covered and the training time lines for all three courses to be taught. Since course syllabi differs considerably by vendor, are there specific materials that you are referencing and would like to be used for these classes? Answer 5. One week (6days) to cover all topics listed. Basically the total term is 6 weeks for the 3 subjects. Depending on the subject it is either 5 days 51\2 days or six days (already stated per subject in an amendment) and the 6th day is always the Saturday of that week ( Each subject gets repeated in its entirety the next week (for another set of students) then the next subject starts that next Monday after the Friday or Saturday finish. The 1\2 day class will finish at noon on Saturday. Question 6. Will FEMA consider online, instructor-led computer-based and web-based training in place of (or as a supplement to) the IT Classroom Training On-site? Answer 6. We will only consider on-site & hands-on training.
