- This requirement is for the purchase of VMWare Server and Administrative Tools for the Washington Headquarters Services Information Technology Division Enterprise Services (ITMD/ESD). ITMD/ESD is in the process of consolidating all of the WHS server rooms into a Data Center and Basement Consolidation Server Room (BCSR). This virtualization application is required to allow multiple, virtual servers to be installed on a single physical server. The items required below are to accompany additional VMWare products and services that are already in place. The requested VMWare products under this procurement are: 0001) VMM-VLM-STD-FND-C-VMWare Lab Manager Foundation Std. Bundle, 1 ea. 0002) VMM-VLM-STD-FND-P-SSSC Platinum Support/Subscription VMWare Lab Mgr., 3 ea. The BCSR currently uses IBM LS20 blade servers, which were designed to be used with the VMWare Virtualization Engine. Market research has revealed that other applications such as HP and Sun virtualization software will not work on the IBM LS20 blade server. Therefore, VMWare is the only known application to work properly on the IBM LS20 blade server. As such, no other brand, make or model will be accepted or considered for this procurement. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541519. The classification code for this action is 7379. The government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract resulting from the results of this solicitation in accordance with FAR Part 12.6. All firms or individuals responding to this solicitation must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) located at http: www.ccr.gov. The evaluation criteria for this procurement will be ?Lowest price, technically acceptable?. The delivery for CLIN 0001 shall be within 15 days from the date of award. The Period of Performance (PoP) for CLIN 0002 shall be 12 months from the date of award. Price quotes for this action are due no later than the due dates posted herein. Please ensure that all possible or applicable price and volume discounts are included.
