- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS FOR A FOLLOW-ON CONTRACT FOR F34601-02-C-0090, AIR CRUISE MISSILE (ACM) ENGINEERING SERVICES, 327 Aircraft Sustainment Group Contracting Division, TINKER AFB, OK 73145-3032. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. This Sources Sought Synopsis is in support of market research being conducted by the Air Force to identify capable potential sources. IF YOU ARE AN INTERESTED PARTY, PLEASE RESPOND BY 15 MAR 07. ACM Engineering Services requirement is a service. Sustaining engineering includes systems engineering, mission effectiveness analyses, field problem investigation, software support and simulations, Redesign, requalification & refurbishment, Radar Cross Section (RCS) testing, collection and evaluation of flight and field reliability data and support of Air Combat Command (ACC) Force Development Evaluation (FDE) flight tests and anomaly resolution for the ACM, AGM-129A. Sustaining engineering services will be procured as Firm Fixed Price (FFP) for recurring and non-recurring tasks that can be definitively priced. Non-recurring tasks are performed in response to specific engineering assignments issued via the contract. This acquisition is for 1 BASIC YEAR WITH FOUR ONE-YEAR OPTIONS with an anticipated award date of 31 Dec 07. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with this office. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis strictly voluntary. The Government will not reimburse the respondents for any costs associated with their responses. This synopsis does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP) or an Invitation for Bids (IFB), nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice, nor pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to the Sources Sought request. The Government reserves the right to contact the submitting parties, on an as required basis, for further clarification on material provided. The Government will evaluate the information provided, use it to document our market research and develop the RFP. In addition, the Government will use its evaluation of the information and other research to determine the sources that appear qualified to perform the work required by the Government. The Government intends to release the RFP only to those respondents who are deemed qualified for this requirement based on their initial response.
