Description

This acquisition includes the purchase of a source controlled drawing where ITT Cannon (71468) is the approved manufacturer and/or has supplied the item in the past. The intent is to award an indefinite delivery type contract for a one year base and four option years. Solicitation and NSN will be available for download on the Internet at https://www.dibbs.bms.dla.mil on its issue date. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. For questions on the content of the solicitation contact the primary point of contact. NSN 5915-01-393-7233. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered. See Note(s): 9 & 26. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on its issue date of March 16, 2007. Drawings/specifications will be available through the DIBBS solicitation link in the synopsis on the solicitation issue date. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Approved sources are: (71468) ITT Cannon & (09922) Souriau USA Inc. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
