- Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to procure via full and open competition, sole make and model video and voice equipment to upgrade an existing new video conferencing room. This equipment will provide users with the latest technology available for participation in Video and Voice Conferencing meetings with users across the country. Arcata Associates / SAIC is responsible for providing equipment / services to the NASA customer, on the Unified NASA Information Technology Services Contracts (UNITeS). There are Two (2) Options with a grand total of 129 line items to be quoted. Only one Option will be awarded This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This requirement is for Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) which must meet the accessibility standards established by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 7941). Further guidance on accessibility can be found in FAR Part 39.2 or at the GSA website http://www.section508.gov/ . Specific Line Items numbered (check all line items) must meet accessibility standards as published by the Architecture and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) Accessibility Standards (36 CFR Part 1194) Subpart B, Technical Standards 1194.23 Video and Telecommunications. When responding to this combined synopsis/solicitation you are required to inform this office whether or not the products offered in response to this solicitation meet the Technical Standards of 1194.23 for the specific line items cited above. Please provide documentation such as your voluntary compliance template or other information that addresses how your company meets the identified Technical Standards. If this information is maintained online, you may provide a link or the URL address where the information can be viewed. This requirement is for Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) which must meet the accessibility standards established by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 7941). The specific Technical Standards that apply will be identified in the solicitation. In responding to any solicitation subsequent to this synopsis, you must state if the products offered meet the identified Technical Standards. Additional information regarding Section 508 can be obtained from the General Services Administration at http://www.section508.gov/ or from the Arcata point of contact identified in this announcement. Interested firms have until 13 MAR 2007, 12:00 Noon CST to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, the attached Request for Quote, and all associated paper work per the special instructions. Responses received after 13 MAR 2007 12;00 Noon CST without the required information will be considered are non-responsive to the synopsis/solicitation and will not be considered. A determination by Arcata Associates, Inc. to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open cost competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of Arcata Associates, Inc This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested per the attached Request for Quote (RFQ). Also attached are the Arcata Associates Representation and Certifications and Terms and Conditions which must be completed in order for the vendor to be considered as responsive. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of any amendments, and clarifying questions and answers.
