- Expressions of Interest for the Construction and Leasing Of Office/Laboratory Space. The Federal Government has a requirement for the construction and full service leasing of a new Wildlife Disease Research Building (WDRB) to be located at 4101 LaPorte Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado on land to be leased from Colorado State University. The building will be occupied entirely by U.S. Department of Agriculture and other Federal tenants as determined by the General Services Administration. The successful Offeror will enter into a ground lease with the University and a building lease with the General Services Administration (GSA). The proposed building shall contain approximately 64,527 BOMA rentable square feet of office and laboratory space for use by the tenant for personnel, furnishings, equipment, and public use areas. The space shall be designed and constructed to meet the requirements of a self-contained Bio-Safety Level (BSL) 2, 3 and BSL-3 Ag animal holding and testing space. The building must be capable of being fully accessible to the physically handicapped, must meet minimum seismic requirements and will be subject to any and all other building or construction rules, regulations, laws and/or ordinances on the local, county, state and federal levels as they may apply. The government is seeking a 20-year firm term lease. Such space shall be ready for occupancy no later than Summer 2009.
