Description
THIS PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice for Naval Station Great Lakes, Hospital Side, Building 129-H, in the 12 Common Heads and 1 Visitor Head. The work includes furnishing all labor, transportation, supervision, material, and equipment and performing all operations in connection with preparation of 1? x 1? ceramic tile floor via dustless shot blasting (bead blasting), dustless diamond grinding & or manual scrapping of ceramic tile floor in Bldg. 129-H, Common Heads & Visitor Head, in the barracks. Contractor shall then install a Ceramic-Filled Polyamine Epoxy semi-non-skid epoxy floor Coating System. Using most abrasive material in the shower & wiping areas, to the east abrasive in the rest of the head areas. Colored: Teal Blue, on the 1st & 3rd deck Common Heads and Visitors head. And colored quartz: Emerald Green on the 2nd deck. Colors where chosen from Core-A-Shield color chart A 1/8" thick (quartzcoat flooring system QFS) approx 417 SF in each Common Head (12 heads) & approx 45 SF in Visitor head (1 head). Approx 174 LF of approx 8? high of monolithic cove in each Common Head. And approx 20 LF in the Visitor Head on the 1st deck. The work shall be completed and ready for use not later than 270 calendar days after the date the purchase order is issued. NOTE: Project shall be done in four phases, one phase at a time, fully completed. Consists of one (1) Common Head per floor, in each section of the Bldg 129-H. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238330. All perspective offerors are encouraged to register as plan holders on the website. The solicitation will be unrestricted. The Small Business size standard for this NAICS code is $13.0 million. Notification of any changes (amendments) to the solicitation may be made only on the Internet. It will be the contractor?s responsibility to check the website for any posted changes. The RFP will be available on the NAVFAC website, www.esol.navfac.navy.mil on or about 23 February 2007 with the closing date for proposals on or about 23 March 2007. The precise closing date will be published with the solicitation. Dates for a site tour will also be announced with the solicitation.
