- Description (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation 601817Q618, Garage Kits, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15, effective 14 February 2007 (iv) This procurement is being issued as a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE IAW FAR 19.502-2(a). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 32191, Manufacture Wood Garage Doors, with a small business size standard of 100 people. (v) The Contractor shall provide the following items: LINE ITEM 0001 - Purchase and deliver two each solid log double-car garage kits Statement of Work - purchase and delivery of two solid log garage kits. This RFQ involves only the purchase and delivery of two - solid log double-car garage kits. Please see below Specifications for details. Garages will be built by U.S. Fish and Wildlife personnel. Specifications: - Two Double-car garages 24'x24' each - Pine, 8" D random length logs garage kits. - Solid Log Garage package include 12 courses (8'1-1/2" wall) with starter log, 1 course log skirt and treated sill and all hardware for building. - Casing, jamb and head flashing included for 1 each 16'x7' overhead door opening. (door not included) - 1 each 3068 9-lite steel entry and 2 each 30210-1 DH windows (all wood with aluminum clad on the outside- double pane low e glass) -Sikkens Pre-treatment package or an approved equal - for protecting the wood from weather. -Roof system will be standard fink trusses graded to meet snow load requirements and ridge line will run front to back to avoid snow sliding in front of garage. 5/8" x 4' x 8' OSB roof sheathing. Roofers 30# felt Does not include Metal standing seam roof. - Snow load rating at 115 lbs - Engineered drawings for garages are included in kit. - Engineer Design for Concrete slab must be included from the manufacturer of the log garage kit. These drawings must be provided as soon as purchase order is complete. Deadline April 15, 2007 - Shipping costs Delivery constraints - Between May 15 - June 15, 2007 This will be contingent upon weather conditions and requestors needs. - Delivery to Lakeview, Montana, Red Rock Lakes NWR headquarters Remote location, 28 miles of dirt road The price will be F.O.B. Destination Delivery will be required within 60 days of the date of award. Delivery and Pick-up Location: U.S FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE LAKEVIEW, MONTNA RED ROCKS NWR HEADQUARTERS REMOTE LOCATION: 28 MILES OF DIRT ROAD (vi) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items and 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items apply. Evaluation will be based on price. The successful offeror will be the quoter offering the brand name item (or an approved equal) at the lowest total price The price will be F.O.B. Destination. (ix) 52.204-8, Annual Representations and Certifications , effective 01 Jan, 2005, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requires the use of Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in Federal solicitations as part of the proposal submission process.
