- HIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. The purpose of this sources sought is to identify potential sources to rework 34 ton lowboy (semi trailers), model number M872, NSN 2330-01-039-8095, M872A1, NSN 2330-01-109-8006, M872A2, NSN 2330-01-119-5837, M872A3, NSN 2330-01-142-1335, M870, 2330-00-13 3-1731 and M870A1, NSN 2330-01-224-9245. At a minimum the contractors facility shall have the capability to shot blast, weld and CARC pain trailers in a quantity of 10 to 15 per month. Sierra Army depot shall be responsible for the disassembly and re-ass embly of each trailer. It is recommended that the facility be within a reasonable distance from Sierra Army Depot, Herlong CA. 96113 as the trailers are not road worthy. Interested parties are invited to submit the following information to Kim Deleon via email kim.deleon@us.army.mil or fax to 530-827-4722: 1) Experience and capability in performing this type of work; 2) Location of plant or facility, point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number. Interested parties may be requested to att end a site visit at no cost to the government. This notice shall not be construed as a Request For Proposal, Request For Quote, Invitation For Bid, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire follow-on acquisitions, however the Government may at its discretion award a contract(s) on the basis of this Notice, but is in no way obligated to pay for the information requested. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this notice and Government use of such information. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be part of this effort. If so included, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restr icted/non-proprietary information. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS AT THIS TIME, however the government will review responses to identify firms potentially capable of fulfilling the Governments requirements. A response to this notice in no way obligates th e government to enter into a potential contract. Responses mailed must reach this office not later than March 15, 2007 and can be mailed to Sierra Army Depot, Attn: Kim Deleon, Building 150, Herlong, CA 96113.
