- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and a writ ten solicitation will not be issued. Fort Carson intends to award a firm fixed price contract for crane rental and operation with one base period and 4 option years. The Solicitation No. is W911RZ-07-CRANE. Period of performance is April 1, 2007 until March 31, 2008 with 4 option years. Work to be performed only during DRMO hours of operation, 700-1400 Monday- Thursday. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This procurement is a 100% small business set aside. The Small Busi ness Size Standard is 6.0 million, and the North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 238990. CLIN 0001 Rental of a crane to be used for lifting vehicles, trucks, cranes and other items that weigh between 25,000lb and 80,000 lbs. An estimation of 10 visits with 2 hour minimum during Period of Performance. Contractor will be billed in 15 minutes in crements after two hour minimum. The Contractor shall provide all equipment and manpower needed to conduct the lifts safely to include, but not limited to: chains, tie downs, support structures, gloves etc. Pricing is to include transportation cost. CLIN 0002 Use of a spreader bar (for lifting activities that will require a spreader bar). The crane operations are to be conducted at Fort Carson, CO 80913. Please include pricing for four additional option years. The contractor will be given a two week notice from DRMO personnel to coordinate crane operation activities. All offerors must have completed their online representations and certifications to be considered for award of this project. Instructions on how this can be done may be found at www.orca.bpn.gov. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor registration at www.ccr.gov. Contractor Manpower Reporting Requirement: The Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower & Reserve Affairs) operates and maintains a secure Army data collection site where the contractor will report all contractor manpower (in cluding subcontractor manpower) required for performance of this contract. The contractor is required to completely fill in all the information in the format using the following web address https:/contractormanpower.army.pentagon.mil.
