- The Philadelphia Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center is announcing that it intends to enter into a sole source procurement pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)as implemented by paragraph 6.302-1(a)(2) of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The item to be sole sourced with St. Jude Medical is the EnSite System which includes display workstation, patient interface unit, breakout box, two flat panel monitors, printer, IFU, and connecting cables, version 6.0 software, fractionation mapping tool, and EnSite Connect Remote Access(Broadband remote access for technical support. The EnSite has the following capabilities: ? The ability to track multiple catheters in the heart at the same ? The ability to track single arrhythmia events ? The ability to incorporate and segment cardiac CT so that the 3-dimensional mapping feature can incorporate true anatomy which is useful for accurate ablation ? Allows for an expansion of services to include greater spectrum of complex EP guided ablations and peripheral interventions This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
