- Description
- The Department of Veteran Affairs VISN 7 Contracting Office intends to issue a full and open competitive solicitation for the Veterans Affairs located in Charleston, South Carolina to provide Emergency/Urgent Care Services to the beneficiaries of the Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center. The requirement will provide services within the Tri-County area (Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester Counties). The contractor shall furnish all labor, facilities, management, supervision, reports, diagnostic studies (laboratory, radiology and imaging) and up to three (3) days of medications to provide emergency/urgent services to the Ralph H. Johnson Medical Center. This will be a non-personal service and all contractor personnel performing under this contract shall remain employees or subcontractors of the contractor. The contractor shall provide sufficient personnel to ensure timely treatment of patients. The solicitation shall consist of a 12-month base period and one (1) 12-month option period for renewal. The estimated amount of patients who received treatment for fiscal year 2006 was approximately 2000 patients. This amount is distributed across the indicated areas in South Carolina. The solicitation will be made available on or about March 6, 2007 and will be distributed through Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. In accordance with FAR Clause 52.214-22, Multiple Awards may be issued if the Contracting Officer determines that multiple awards might be economically advantageous to the Government.
