- Effective February 27, 2007, This market survey/request for system demonstration is hereby cancelled. This announcement is a Market Survey/Request for System Demonstration. This announcement IS NOT A DOWN-SELECT OR QUALIFICATION SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL of any kind. All interested parties are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information, demonstration, or administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry or any system demonstration that is in response to the market survey. This includes any costs associated with any aspect of the system demonstration activity and any research, studies, or design carried out for purposes of the system demonstration. This also includes any costs for services or products for the purposes of system demonstration. Therefore, any costs associated with the Market Survey will be solely at the interested parties' expense. The purpose of this Market Survey/Request for System Demonstration is to obtain an understanding of the current marketplace, receive demos on available technology and innovative approaches that fulfills agency mission needs, and enhance insight into industry capabilities and best practices. One, some, all, or none of the respondents to the Market Survey/Request for System Demonstration may be requested to provide additional information at the option of the Government. No evaluation of vendors will occur and vendor participation in any demo session is not a promise for future business with the FAA. Information obtained from Attachment A will be used to support the development of an acquisition strategy for ERTSS. All demonstrations shall be completed by February 28, 2007. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 PM (ET) on February 16, 2007.
