- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Eastern Logistics Service Area has a requirement to Provide Armed Security Guard Services at the Pittsburgh Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT), Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. Services are to commence on or about April 1, 2007 for an initial period of Six (6) Months or less. There are Four (4) One-Year Option Periods. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment (other than Government furnished equipment), uniforms, transportation and supervision to provide Armed Security Guard Services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and ten legal holidays. Company must be licensed in the State of Pennsylvania, prior to award, have at a minimum five (5) years experience in armed security guard services, have an active business address and phone number for a minimum of one (1) year prior to award and be within a one hundred (100) mile radius of the facility located in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. This office must be maintained during the entire life of the contract. Map Quest will be the site used to determine the distance. No Post Office Box Address will be excepted. The estimated procurement value for the subject project is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $1,500,000.00 for the entire contract period. Only firms who meet the above referenced qualifications may request a Screening Information Request (SIR). The SIR is not yet available. Once the SIR becomes available it will be sent to the Incumbent Contractor The Wackenhut Corporation, Airport Office Park, 333 Rouser Road, Suite 504, Moon Township, PA 15108. All other companies who meet the above requirements may fax their request to Ms. Catherine De Toma, Fax No. (718) 995-5685, on company letterhead showing the office address which will be within the one hundred (100) mile radius of the Coraopolis, PA., Site. All other requests will not be accepted. No phone requests will be accepted. Request for SIR's will no longer be accepted after March 7, 2007. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
