Description
This is not a total business set aside. Full and Open Competitiion. National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration will be conducting the fifth biennial bottom trawl survey starting in Dutch Harbor, AK and ending in Ketchikan, AK . (years 2007 and 2009) and Bering Sea ( years 2008 & 2010) The purpose of this solicitation will be to provide a trawler to conduct the continental slope portion of the 2007 Gulf of Alaska biennial bottom trawl survey. This contract will also include options for three additional years to conduct the 2008 and 2010 biennial Bering Sea continental slope bottom trawl surveys and the 2009 biennial Gulf of Alaska continental slope bottom trawl survey. The ideal vessel would have a minimum overall vessel length of 36.5 m (120 ft) and the vessel shall have been actively used for commercial trawling or research where trawl gear was used in the past 12 months. Vessel should be able to maintain a minimum continuous horsepower output from main engine 1000. Completely rigged for trawling. Anticipated period of performance on or about May 18, 2007 for 75 days. Each optional year there after should begin on or about the same date in May of the option year. To receive this solicitation, use the contact points listed in this announcement.
