Description
This is the second amendment to Combined Synopsis/Solicitation RFQ 307030023 for 15,000 feet of OCC fiber cable. The CORRECT OCC Part # is DX24-085D-WLX/900-OFNR. An equivalent to this OCC Part # may be submitted for consideration as long as it meets the specifications of this now stated OCC Part#. The OCC Part # and specifications stated in Amendment 0001 are NOT correct. We request the cable to be on the 3300 foot spools. It will be utilized outdoors, in conduit, direct burial. We apologize for the confusion. The due date for submission of quotes remains Thursday, March 1, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. eastern standard time. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 24 STRAND MULTI-MODE OCC FIBER CABLE General Information: The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Jesup, Georgia, intends to award a firm-fixed price, definite quantity type contract to a responsible entity for the provisions of 15,000 feet of 24 strand multi-mode OCC fiber cable for an infrastructure camera system. It is anticipated that an award from this solicitation will be made by March 8, 2007. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-14. The folloiwng provisions and clauses will apply to this solicitation in accordance with Commercial Items: 52.252-2, Clauses Incorporated by Reference (FEB 1998); 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors (SEPT 2006); 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, Commercial Items (NOV 2006); 52.222-3, Convict Labor (JUNE 2003); 52.233-3, Protest after Award (AUG 1996); (iii) Alternate II to 52.219-5; 52.222-21, Prohibition of Segregated Facilities (FEB 1999); 52.222-26, Equal Oportunity (APRIL 2002); 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era (SEPT 2006); 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities (JUNE 1998); 52.222-19, Child Labor Cooperation with Authorities and Remedies (JAN 2006); 52.225-13, Restriction on Certain Foreign Purchases (FEB 2006); 52.232-34, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer Other than Central Contractor Registration (MAY 1999). Quoters are advised that the Contracting Officer will verify registration in the Central Contractors Database (www.ccr.gov) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (orca.bpn.gov) prior to award of any contract, by entering the potential awardee DUNS number into each database. Failure to complete the registration may result in elimination from consideration for award. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to subject quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 335921 and the applicable small business size standard is 500 employees. SUBMISSION OF QUOTES On letterhead or business stationery, the following information is required: (1) Contractor's DUNS Number (2) Quoted pricing per the folloiwng Contract Line Item Number: CLIN 001 - 15,000 feet of 24 Strand Multi-Mode OCC Fiber Cable Example format for your quote: CLIN 001 15,000 by $______ per foot = $________total. Price shall be FOB destination pricing. (3) A completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Reporesentations and Certifications Commercial Items (MAR 2005) if different from entry made to the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) site located at orca.bpn.gov. The Government will make award to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to this solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government. The proposed pricing must include all associated charges, fees, and delivery cost (FBO Destination) to Jesup, Georgia, at 2600 Highway 301 South. Contractor must deliver the fiber cable within thirty (30) days from date of award. Quotes must be received at the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, 2600 Highway 301 South Jesup, Georgia no later than 2:00 p.m. eastern standard time on Thursday, March 1, 2007.
