- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) plans to issue a solicitation for the purchase of Currency Bundle and Cash Pack Labels which are used for the labeling of packaged currency in the COPE-PAK and currency finishing and packaging sections at the BEP in accordance with BEP Specification No. L: PSC-2 dated December 10, 2006. Material samples will be requested and evaluated to determine if the proposed material complies with the requirements of the specification to prevent any slow-down or stoppage of currency production. The characteristics to be evaluated will be described in the solicitation. An unrestricted full and open competitive solicitation is planned. The contract type will be Fixed-Price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). Delivery terms are F.O.B Destination to the BEP 9000 Blue Mound RD, Fort Worth, TX. 76131 and BEP Loading Dock at ?D? Street, Between 13th and 14th Sts., S.W. Washington, D.C. The period of performance will be for one (1) twelve (12) month base period and four (4) 12-month option years. This procurement will be negotiated and awarded according to the procedures set forth in FAR parts 12 and 15. The selection decision will be based on overall best value to the BEP, price and non-price factors considered. The solicitation will be available on or about March 21, 2007. BEP is posting this announcement, as well as the final solicitation on GSA?s Federal business opportunities webpage at http://www.fpo.gov.
