- Description
- Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) procurement. Furnish all necessary management, technical services, labor, material, support services and equipment to accomplish a full range of depot level repairs and alterations, trouble shooting, maintenance, installation, and removal of major ship components and equipment onboard U.S. Navy and/or other military type vessels, including submarines, boats and service craft. This will be an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantitity, firm fixed price contract for a base year with four one-year options. Performance of work will be primarily on vessels located in a 50-mile radius of MARMC, Portsmouth, VA, but may be accomplished worldwide. This modification revises the announcement as follows: MARMC intends to make multiple awards under this solicitation. The intent is to reserve at least one of these awards for the 8(a) program. For award of the initial contract, the 8(a) firms will compete only with other 8(a) firms. After award, any 8(a) firm that receives a contract as a result of this procurement will compete equally with all awardees for subsequent task orders. Award will be based on a best value procurement utilizing past performance, technical, and price as evaluation factors. The NAICS code is 336611 (Ship Building and Repairing). This procurment is not restricted to MSRA/ABR contractors. This is a follow-on procurement. The former contract numbers were N62678-02-D-2003/2004/2005 and N62678-03-D-3004. Contractors that have previously expressed an interest in this procurement need not respond to this modification.
