Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division intends to extend for one year an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for sustaining engineering services for government owned Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) testers/stations. The type of tasks that will be required under the IDIQ will include, but are not limited to: obsolescence studies, incorporation of new test techniques, integration studies, replacement instruments, Software Integrated Product Team Support, Engineering Change Notices Support, failure data analysis, Integrated Logistics Support, trade-off analysis, configuration management, Technical Working Group Support, System Problem Reports Support and market surveys. All of these tasks will be related to the CASS tester/station. Lockheed Martin Simulation, Training & Support, Orlando, FL, as the original equipment manufacture, is the only firm that possesses the experience, knowledge, technical expertise, production tooling and facilities necessary to perform these requirements within the time frame required to meet fleet critical operational commitments. The authority for this sole source action is FAR 6.302-1: only one responsible source. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this synopsis is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses to this notice must be received within 15 days.
