Description

Hurricane Protection Office, USACE, New Orleans, LA intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to GE Capital Modular Space, 1145 Airline Highway East, La Place, LA. The requirement is to furnish two (2) 24 x 60 mod ular units, and two (2) 24 x 64 modular units, to include restroom, delivery, set-up, utility hook-up, turn-key ready to occupy, tear-down and removal. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) only one responsibl e source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested vendors may submit their ability to provide these units in writing to the identified point of co ntact not later that 4:30 CST on 28 February 2007. Such abilities will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed eff ort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to Judy.A.Anderson@mvk02.usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
