Description
THIS IS A MARKET SURVEY which is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a certified HUBZONE, 8A, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, or any other type of Small Business and you are interested in this project please respond to this survey appropriately. The proposed project will be for the design and construction of a 97,634 SF Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC). Primary facilities inc lude a Multi-use Classroom, Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS), unheated storage building, and land acquisition. Buildings will be of permanent construction with HVAC systems, plumbing, mechanical systems, security systems, and electrical systems. Sup porting facilities include land clearing, paving, fencing, general site improvements, and extension of utilities to serve the project. Accessibility for the disabled will be provided. Force protection (physical security) measures will be incorporated into design including maximum standoff distance from roads, parking areas, and vehicle unloading areas. Berms, heavy landscaping, and bollards will be used to prevent access when standoff distances cannot be maintained. Comprehensive building and furnishings interior design services are required. Air Conditioning (Estimated 299 Tons). This project is planned for advertisement in September 30, 2007 with a planned award scheduled in December 2007. Contract duration is estimated at 720 days. NAICS is 236220. The estimated cost range is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. 20% of the work is to be self-performed. Project will be awarded as a design build contract, using a two phase source selection process. All interested small businesses should notify this office ONLY in an email to pamela.l.kaelin@lrl02.usace.army.mil by close of b usiness 8 MAR 07. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of companys small business status (2) Past Experience describing completed projects that are similar in size, scope to the proposed project, the percentage of self-performed work and how that was accomplished, (3) Capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project in the dollar amount listed above, and (4) a statement verifying the contractor will perform 20% of the work and how it will be accomplished. NOTE: If it is determined there are not enough interested small business concerns this project will be advertised for full and open competition.
