PR Number(s): FD20300780562 and FD20300781752; SOLICITATION NUMBER: FA810407R0079 Item 0001; NSN: 2840011465652PR; NOUN: SEAL,METALLIC,AIRCR; P/N: 9502M31G08; Description: PREVENTS LEAKAGE OF LUBRICATING OIL FROM THE NO. 3 BEARING AREA. MATL: ASSY OF PARTS/INCLUDES A HOUSING, 2 RETAINER RINGS, SLINGER AND CARRIER NO. 3 SEAL, WASHER SPRING, SEAL SPRING, RING, WASHER AND HEAT SHIELD. DIM: 7 IN BY 2.5 IN HT, MAT: CARBON STAINLESS STEEL. Delivery Destination: FB2039 AND FMS. Delivery beginning July 2007. QUANTITY RANGES FOR PRICE PURPOSES: (95-195) AND (195-390) BEQ is 343 + 1 EACH; however quantity will be decided at the time of award. Anticipated solicitation date will be 9 March 2007. Anticipated response date will be 25 March 2007. Anticipated award date will be 22 April 2007. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps and should be obtained from there. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS are as follows: A Government First Article Test will be required if the contractor has not made this item within the past 36 months. Qualification requirements are set forth in OC-ALC Source Approval Information Booklet. Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, ONLY ACTUAL MANUFACTURERS that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the government to be similar in complexity and criticality, can be considered approved sources for this item. All responsible sources solicited may submit a proposal/quote/bid, which if timely, will be considered. The solicitation/procurement data listed above is approved for release to qualified contractors as specified in the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), 22 CFR Sections 121 through 128. An export license is required for release of any technical data relating to this contract to any foreign entity (See 22 CFR Section 125). According to FAR 4.1102 (Oct 03), ?Prospective contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) managed by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) prior to award of a contract or agreement. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
