Description
The United States Air Force (USAF) Force Protection Battlelab (FPB) is exploring commercial/government off-the-shelf (COT/GOTS) technologies for a water purification device that meets National Primary Drinking Water Standards (NPDWS) EPA water quality standards. The Food Drug Administration (FDA) regulations require NPDWS compliant water as the input water of the Field Intravenous Reconstitution (FIVR) II. Through this market survey the FPB is researching technologies that purify long term consumption source water into NPDWS water for the FIVR II system. Required Capabilities: 1) Man portable system that will upgrade Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit (ROWPU) water to NPDWS compliant water, 2) Device/system can intake water that meets Standardization Agreement (STANAG) 2136 long term consumption quality standards and produce up to 20 liters of NPDWS compliant water per hour, 3) Provide solutions to reduce waste water effluent, and 4) Operate in a deployed environment. Through this request for information (RFI), the Battlelab is requesting information concerning mature or readily emerging technologies that meet the requirements previously stated. This notice is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an invitation for bid nor request for proposal, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. All contractors are encouraged to submit information supporting this request. NOTICE TO FOREIGN CONTRACTORS: Foreign or foreign-owned contractors are advised that their participation is subject to foreign disclosure review procedures and restrictions that could preclude their participation in this announcement.
