- Description
- The VA Medical Center located in Fayetteville, (Cumberland County), North Carolina, has a requirement for a contractor to provide all personnel and equipment for the operation of basic and advance life support Ambulance Services. This service will be twenty-four hours per day, 365 days per year, on an as-needed basis. Contract period will be for April 1, 2007 through March 31, 2008 with the possibility of 2 (1) year option periods exercised at the option of the Government. Total contract duration will not exceed 3 years. All bid prices should be for loaded (mileage incurred with the patient actually on board the ambulance from the point of pickup to the destination)miles only. Emergency Medical Technicians providing emergency services on the ambulance under this contract must be certified, licensed or otherwise officially recognized by the local, state or regional government or public entity where the emergency ambulance service is operated or by which it is governed. Technicians and ambulance drivers must be capable of administering oxygen. It is the VA's intent to solicit offers and award one contract on a competitive basis. This procurement will be conducted utilizing the commercial item procedures of FAR 12 in conjunction with FAR 15 and will be advertised as unrestricted. The applicable NAICS code is 621910. Size standard is $6.5M. Solicitation packages will be available on or about February 6, 2007 and will be due on March 2, 2007.
